What: The Fourth Annual Pace Business Plan Competition
When: Monday evening, April 30th, 2007, from 6:00 - 7:30 pm (Reception from 5:30 - 6:00 pm)
Where: Pace University, 1 Pace Plaza, New York, NY (opposite City Hall) in the Multipurpose Room on the B-level East
Why: To foster the entrepreneurial spirit among students, promote practical business skills, and encourage the creation of new ventures.

PRIZES: The three Finalists will receive $250 each; the Overall Winner will receive an additional $250 (for a total of $500), plus a private meeting with a venture capitalist.

A panel of venture capitalists and experts on new venture creation will critique the business plans of the three Finalists in Pace University's Fourth Annual Business Plan Competition. The panel will also discuss the overall purpose and value of a business plan, the process of securing venture capital, and the investor's role in early-stage venture management. The overall winner will then be announced and allowed ten minutes to present his or her business plan.

The Pace University Business Plan Competition is held to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among students, promote practical business skills, and encourage the creation of new ventures. Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at Pace, as well as recent Pace alumni (those who have graduated within the past five years), are encouraged to submit an original business plan. Plans may be submitted for commercial businesses as well as social ventures.

All entries must be for an original concept and may be submitted individually or in teams of two to four. All plans are limited to 40 pages and must contain a one-page executive summary.
